The Twentieth Century Literature

The literature of the twentieth century is a literature of exploration, as it strives to describe and communicate the experiences of a fast-paced, ever-changing world of technological advances, continual warfare, and changing political and geographical borders. Yet, it is in part because of war, technology and global realignment that twentieth-century literature now includes the voices of writers from emerging cultures and ethnic groups that had previously been silent or been ignored.
